– Continues long term commitment to rural healthcare by acquiring 5 locations in Iowa
– Solidifies working relationship with Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and Clinics
– Total Pharmacies now stand at 51 with 6 telepharmacies
West Des Moines, IA, June 2, 2022, OneroRx Inc., a leader in integrated pharmacy services to patients in underserved markets through its hub and spoke pharmacy and telepharmacy operations, announced today that it has completed an acquisition of the five Community Pharmacy locations in north-central Iowa. The Iowa pharmacy group acquisition includes a hospital and clinic-based pharmacy in Lake City, a clinic-based pharmacy in Rockwell City, two clinic-based telepharmacies in Gowrie and Lake View, and a free-standing pharmacy in Sac City.
The hospital and clinic-based pharmacy operations had most recently been owned and operated by Pharma 340 LLC, but they had been started and operated for a long time by Stewart Memorial Community Hospital prior to divesting the pharmacy operations in 2019 to Pharma 340 LLC. The pharmacies serve the counties of Calhoun, Webster, and Sac, which have a combined population of approximately 57,000 people. Following this acquisition, the day-to-day operations will continue to be managed by the same local employees with whom patients are familiar.
“OneroRx remains committed to rural healthcare and continuing a strong working relationship with Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and McCrary Rost Clinics. This acquisition demonstrates our long- term focus on providing local pharmacy services and care to rural America. We are excited to retain the dedicated staff who have served their communities so well and welcome them to the OneroRx team,” said Joseph R. Dunham, Chairman, CEO, and President of OneroRx.
“We are delighted to have OneroRx continue to serve our patients and look forward to a long-term working relationship that benefits our patients and communities. We believe pharmacy services need to be delivered locally and are pleased with the commitment OneroRx has made to our communities and patients,” said Cindy Carstens, CEO of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital.
OneroRx is a leading regional provider of pharmacy and telepharmacy services, pharmaceutical products, supplements, and medical supplies to patients in underserved communities operating 51 pharmacies including six telepharmacies, two long term care pharmacies, and a regional compounding pharmacy.
